Nokia 2720 Prepaid Wireless Phones


To strengthen its position in emerging mid tier consumer base of mobile phone markets, Nokia recently releases three low-priced phones in Finland. They offer various design and features in very attractive price, even without a contract. One of them is Nokia 2720, which is in prepaid wireless phones package comes with thin and clamshell flip design, available in deep red or black colors.

The design of these prepaid wireless phones are emphasized in their front face that claimed to act as a mirror. Nokia’s tag line for Nokia 2720 is “stay organized with easy access to e-mail, calendar, Internet connectivity, and file sharing applications.” These prepaid wireless phones are available in two dual-band versions: GSM 850/1900 and GSM 900/1800, and provide several features including a speakerphone, a wireless Web browser, a voice recorder, an FM radio, a music player, a 1.3-megapixel camera, mobile email, messaging, a personal organizer, and Bluetooth connectivity. The dual band version of GSM increases rate of Nokia 2720’s data transfer.

The prepaid wireless phone’s display is a 65000 colors Thin Film Transistor. Nokia 2720 also come with second external Monochrome TFT Display that measures 1.8 inch and 120 x 160 pixel resolutions. With Nokia 2720, you can enjoy a vivid colorful display. Its 1.3-megapixel camera can produce still photo with resolution up to 1280 x 1024 pixels. It also has a video streaming capability at 15 fps with standardized common intermediate format.

Nokia 2720 prepaid wireless phones also have various improved enhancements for data connectivity, including Bluetooth connectivity with AADP support, Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution (EDGE), High-speed circuit-switched data (HSCSD) and General Packet Radio Service (GPRS).

The 2720 also supports Java Platform to run which various applications such as Gmail Clients, Java games, application tools etc. The prepaid wireless phones measure 93 x 46 x 17.9 mm and weigh 90.3 grams. It’s powered by onboard storage of 32 MB internal memory and standard Lithium-ion battery with rate up to 5 hours of talk time. The other features are customizable ringtones, a 2.5 mm audio jack, Multimedia Messaging Service and Packet data modes.
