Positive Points:
- Superior sound quality
- Easy to use
- Supports a range of Bluetooth profiles
- Can charge during use, for example answer a call or listen to music while charging the headset, while most other BT headset will be disable during charging.
Negative Points:
- Wearing style is a bit clunky. It’s more looked like a regular wired hands-free than bluetooth stereo headset.
- Tendency to lock up during pairing, and to lose pairing information. Once it locked up, the reset procedure in the manual did nothing. We had to wait for the battery to run all the way down to pair it again.
Bottom Line:
When you think Bluetooth Stereo Headset, you normally think wireless. The HBH-DS970 is a bud-style headset with wires and a lanyard that leads down to the volume and control buttons. It’s an odd approach, but at least you don’t end up looking out of place in public areas, as it looks like you’re just listening to another MP3 player.
