Bluetooth Wireless Headset: Plantronics Voyager 510
The Bluetooth wireless headset, Plantronics Voyager 510, represents a generational leap in Bluetooth wireless headset technology for the ultimate in wireless freedom. Plantronics headset is comfortable and light enough for all day wear, and it offers unprecedented clarity and sound quality. Plantronics bluetooth also presents the real revolution involves Plantronics’ exclusive Multipoint technology, which allows the bluetooth wireless headset to function as a powerful communication solution for up to two Bluetooth devices.
Thanks to Multipoint technology, you can easily switch this bluetooth wireless headset connection between your voice-enabled Bluetooth mobile phone, PDA or laptop. The plantronics headset’s “smart” technology will know which device you are using and allows you to take calls from it at the touch of a button. With the optional Plantronics Bluetooth Deskphone Adapter you can even switch between your office deskphone and your Bluetooth cell phone, so you don’t have to use a dedicated “landline” phone headset again.
Sound quality for cell phone calls was mostly good. The Plantronics Voyager 510 features WindSmart technology, which enhances call sound clarity in windy environments such as in a car with window/roof open, air conditioning on or at outside with breeze. The bluetooth wireless headset can be folded for easy storage. You can also swivel the boom for perfect positioning on either ear. You can access one-touch call control buttons and you can easily redial the last number dialed and initiate voice-activated calls from the plantronics headset. The volume rocker wasn’t bad, but the power/muting key located immediately above it was so small that we had trouble finding it even when we were holding the plantronics headset in our hand
Plantronics bluetooth wireless headset supports the Bluetooth 1.2 specification. Because the plantronics headsets are Bluetooth-enabled, you can roam up to 33 feet from your Bluetooth device. Meanwhile, the plantronics voyager 510 supports adaptive frequency hopping (AFH) which helps avoid interference from Wi-Fi networks. The built-in rechargeable battery will keep the plantronics headset power on up to 6 hours talk time and up to 100 hours of standby time.
